ABOUT ME >>>i suppose by now you might want to know a little more about me. so this is the place i will talk about myself and say all the stuff i cant modestly ramble on about in polite conversation. thats whats great about the internet, you can talk forever and no one can tell you to shut up :P [ S T A T S ] [ F A V O R I T E S ] Food: Fershetta Pizza, Chicken Fingers, Chinese FoodCeral: Fruit Pebbles Books: Harry Potter, Join Me, LotR, Girl Who Owned a City Movies: LotR, Boondock Saints, Little Miss Sunshine Instrument: Acustic Guitar TV: Buffy, Angel, Firefly, The Tribe, Queer as Folk, Hex, Little Britain, Arrested Development, The Office, Battlestar Galactica History: Queen Elizabeth, Napolean, Stalin, Mussilini, Henry XIV, WWII, Defenestration of Prague, European History, Ancient Egypt, Greek Mythology [ P E T P E E V E S ] Smoking"Period. End of story." Because clearly it isnt People who touch my waist to get me to move out of the way instead of saying 'excuse me' Excessive and unnessisary prodding or questioning of moral fiber (aka - school administration who treat you like convicts even though youre not doing anything wrong) Parents who snap at you about laundry instead of asking politely Selfish parents, and selfish children while im at it Girls who bitch about absolutely everything [ M U S I C ] My Hero: Bob Dylan- i grew up with his music because my dad would always play it and ive recently gotten hold of his albums and i am forever in love. his lyrics are so poetic, expressive, sometimes hilarious, and often political. the acustic guitar is hypnotizing, and i think he opitimizes the power of music. Other Favs: The Who, Poe, Relient K, Aimme Mann, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Garbage, Keane, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, The Clash, Janis Joplin, Eve 6, Within Temptation, Anberlin, Embrace, Rufus Wainwright, Counting Crows, The Beatles, Imogen Heap, The Libertines, Harry and the Potters, Nickel Creek, Flyleaf, Cat Power, Pepper's Ghost, Breaking Benjamin, Placebo, traditional Bluegrass [ P H I L O S O P H Y ] Im not religious. Its fine if you are, but i never saw the point of letting some higher being make desisions for me. So what code do i like by? My own, pretty much, but there have been a few people that had some cool things to say, that i do keep in mind:Danny Wallace: author of Join Me and Yes Man, he's just a britsh comedian, a really really enlightened one as far as i can tell, but what ive taken with me from his books are be nice to people just because you can, not because you should or because you'll get anything back and embrace opprotunity, say yes more often, you never know what you are missing. I personally think that these to things will make everyone happier. Plus, no idols required :) Karl Marx: In my Sociology class we learned about him and he believed that society should not just be studied, it should be studied then changed. Change, i think, is the key to progress, and i believe that people should always question the staus quo. Bob Dylan: Masters of War, Oxford Town, Gates of Eden, Blowing in the Wind, Times are A-Changing, A Hard Rains A-Gonna Fall [ L I B E R A L ] Pro Gay RightsPro Choice Anti War Pro Freedom Anti American Interference Pro Privacy from Gov Freedom over Security Pro Equality I dont know what this makes me, but i think people who make ignorant, rude, thoughtless remarks against any group of people are disgusting. i dont understand where people get off treating other people as lesser men, be it in politics or in casual conversation. Maybe its just me, but i cant stand when people treat those who are different as sub-human. [/rant]
